Chris Robson
B.Ed. Dip Tchg. Grad.Cert.Career Development.
Chris has been involved in career coaching and training roles for the past 10 years and brings extensive experience working with a range of people and their career development.
Starting her career in Teaching, Chris then moved to Recruitment as a Consultant for 15 years. Her interest and passion for assisting people to seek out ‘the right’ employment opportunity led to further study at AUT in career development and coaching.
Curveballs was founded in 2011. The name reflects Chris’s recognition that people are often thrown curveballs in their work and that life is seldom a straight line.
When people experience company restructuring, stressful workplace situations or simply wake up one day and realise their job choice isn’t right for them anymore there is a need for support and guidance to help reset.
Alongside Chris’s workplace life coaching skills comes experience in designing and developing adult workplace training programmes. Chris saw a need for people to be assisted in developing stronger self-leadership and leadership capability and so developed the aroha4work foundation leadership coaching programme.
Chris has spent most of her working career in Auckland city and overseas. She has recently been enjoying a lifestyle change moving back to her home town Whanganui where she resides in the beachside village of Castlecliff. Her interests include walking the beach with her dog, biking the local cycle trails and visiting the beautiful heritage architecture Whanganui has to offer.
